"Phoenix" Launch with Author Kimberly Brubaker Bradley
Saturday, February 28, 2:00-4:00pm
Join us at Dragonfly Book Bar for the launch of "Phoenix," the first book in a wonderful new horse-kid series by award-winning author Kimberly Brubaker Bradley!
In "Phoenix" Harper’s life has just exploded with her parents getting a divorce, and her best friend, Cat, possibly knowing the reason for it long before she did. After moving to a new town with her mom, a truck dumps a starved and neglected horse right in Harper's yard, and with this unexpected arrival something inside Harper unlocks. She doesn’t know it yet, but Phoenix is Harper’s first step—toward new friends, new challenges, new adventures. Toward riding.
At the event, you can meet the author (and horse-kid herself!), learn more about "Phoenix" and the series, and get your copy (or copies) of the book signed! We'll have several other books on hand for signing too. During the event, 10% of all purchases of Kim's book will go to the Appalachian Literacy Initiative, and we'll hold a prize raffle for a new Breyer horse!
In addition, if you pre-order the book through Dragonfly Book Bar, Kim will send you some great swag such as a bookmark, signed bookplate, and stickers.
